Shankar Singh and his wife, Meera, live in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India along with widowed paternal grandmother, Laxmibai, his mom, Gowri, and dad, Randhir. Hurt, humiliated and confused Meera refuses to sign this document, and is confined to a locked room by Randhir.
