A Native-American woman, who was framed for the murders of her parents years before, returns to her reservation to seek revenge.

The Imperial Empire is attacked by an Alliance of rebels led by fanatical mystics. The ruler, Empress Nobu, the 8th generation of her family, wants to execute a bold plan to rescue a cyborg, Leah C6, trapped on the battle ravaged planet Endor. The Empress believes Leah C6 holds the secret to destroying the Alliance of Rebels before their insurgency can kill millions of citizens of the Empire. She recruits her heroic fleet commander, Lord General Luka Raan and asks him to gather a team from the Empires elite soldiers, the Galactic Rangers. Raan assembles the team in the ruins of Endor which was attacked by depraved Rebels and outlaws led by, Kindo-Ker, a fanatical mystic in Dark Energy. Charlie Baxter, a struggling screenwriter, is searching for accommodation in a rundown mansion somewhere in the isolated mountains above Malibu. An expressionless and creatively bankrupt young man who rewrites exploitation sci-fi / horror scripts for a living, he takes a room in the mansion and learns of the mysterious doctor residing in the room above his own who dabbles in strange experiments. As he learns more about the circumstances of the doctor and the history of his landlady, her autistic daughter and the strange lodger across the hall, Baxter is inspired to write his long blocked great American Screenplay. Working furiously, Baxter suffers a heart attack, and staggers up to see the doctor for treatment. He passes out immediately, but awakens a cured man. But at a terrible price. The Doctor, a strangely preserved woman named Shockner, persuades Baxter to stay until he recovers fully, and informs her patient of the medical condition that has forced her into a hermit's existence. Twenty years ago Shockner suffered a fatal disease. Her solution found in the occult and dark arts, preserved her life but at the cost. Slowly Baxter is drawn into a nightmarish world of insane experiments and murder. He knows something must be done to stop the evil that resides in the room at the top of the stairs.

A pre-story sequence with Lance Henriksen as a super-spy and an opening credits obviously ripping off the James Bond themes gives hope for a spy story or spoof in the Bond mode. However, the story quickly opens with former USA gymnastics champion Kristie Phillips in the lead role as the spy's unknowing gymnast daughter who gets caught up in the spy's attempts to keep Ukrainian missile launch codes from falling into the wrong hands. Sarah Douglas shows up as the Soviet spy trying to get the codes back and willing to kill anyone to get them including Phillips' Mother and brother. Tim Thomerson also appears as a journalist reporting on the gymnasts who gets caught up in the events. Written by John Sacksteder
