The film opens with Vasudevan, a police officer, investigating the murder of Ramya, his ex-girlfriend. Initial reports from the scene of the crime suggest that Ramya had committed suicide. But Vasudevan suspects foul play and moves into the same apartment complex where Ramya lived, in order to investigate further. While the police investigation is underway in the neighborhood, people who are associated with the case are killed under seemingly mysterious circumstances. Vasudevan soon discovers a supernatural force in play, which seems to have taken the form of water (H2O). He probes further and learns that Ramyas spirit is behind the killings. Ramyas spirit then uses her sister Divya as a medium to reveal the true circumstances behind her death at the hands of her husband Bala (Nandha). The spirit recounts the story of Ramyas marriage to Bala and their life together. In the early days of her marriage, Ramya inadvertently confesses her past relationship with Vasudevan to Bala, after which he develops a strong jealousy towards Vasudevan. Later, when a young neighbors (Heera Selvaraj) paramour intentionally insinuates that Ramya is his lover to a nosy neighbor, things take a turn for the worse. Rumors about Ramyas alleged trysts with her lover begin to circulate in the apartment complex. When Bala learns of the rumors, his jealousy turns into rage and eventually consumes him, driving him to murder Ramya. Due to certain circumstances, they find themselves in a remote village protecting the villagers from a wild heard of elephants. Bomman knows that Manickam is not a trained Kumki elephant who can take on or stop the attack of the wild elephants. However he does not care as by then he has fallen madly in love with the village chieftain's daughter Alli (Lakshmi Menon). The protagonist in the film, Gandhi Babu (Natraj) is a skilled conman. He dreams up ingenious scams and executes them perfectly. He sells ignorant people ordinary snakes claiming that they are exotic and will fetch crores in the international market. He promotes a non-existent 'multi-level marketing' company with its controversial chain referral schemes promising a BMW car within the year. And the climax has him pulling off 'the rice pulling scam', one of the most high profile scams of recent times. About 40 minutes into the film Gandhi Babu is arrested and multiple cases filed against him. But the money he has scammed over the years comes to his rescue and he is released. He is not in the least remorseful and continues to manipulate everyone. He believes that if a person is foolish or greedy enough to be duped, then the person is to be blamed. He argues that every election voters are conned by the candidates who promise them the moon, but never come through. Banu (Ishara Nair) is from a poor family. She comes to work for him and falls for his charms. Despite having a soft corner for her, money is Gandhi Babu's first priority and he abandons her. Till 1990 no one tried to take the stone because of fear for the king's spirit, In 1990 someone took it from the tomb but is dies with 'coz of the evil spirit of the king called Irumbarazan. 132 people will dies like that. The hero takes the job to take Maragadha Naanayam from a small Don for 100 million rupees coz that he needs 4 million ruppes for his liability. Who one touch the stone will be killed by Irumarazan, because of that every rejects the job to take the green stone business.
