This show is about a time in former Yugoslavia, mostly City of Zagreb at the end of 70 and beginning of 80. In a dramatic and humorous way it tries to describe a life of this great Yugoslavian era through 3 Generations of people. Its a story of love, family problems with a lot of influence of the Urban Culture and Music scene in YU. Three generations (from season four onwards, four generations) of the Fazlinovic family all live in a Sarajevo apartment. The oldest of the family is Izet Fazlinovic. Izet has a son Faruk, who in turn has a son Damir. In season four, Damirs son Dzema is born. The shows title refers to the three main characters: Izet is Lud (crazy), Faruk is Zbunjen (confused), and Damir is Normalan (normal). Although being one of the first movies to take humoristic approach towards violent break-up of Yugoslavia, this motion picture is partly based on real events that took place in September of 1991. Few months after Croatia seceded from Yugoslavia, Federal military installations are still present with previously recruited Croatian boys trapped inside. One such installation is a garrison on a small Dalmatian island, commanded by Major Aleksa Milosavljevic. Besieged by local militia, Major Aleksa threatens to blow up ammunition depots with half an island in case of any hostile action.
