It's about the lives of five different people who happen to live near each other. Robi is a lady-killer and a sports expert but only in his own head. He often thinks he's better than everyone else and sometimes makes fun of his roommates. He is always arguing with Irena, a hot ex-model who decided she needed a more meaningful life. She is not so bright and often makes stupid statements but she is also resourceful and competitive. They live next-door with their roommates. Kazimir or so called Kazo is a nerdy video game fan who knows everything about movies and video games. He has a very bad and bossy mother and he moves away from her and becomes a roommate of Robi and Teo. Teo is a very successful lawyer. His wife kicked him out of their apartment and filed a divorce after she cheated on him. Lucija is a lost and confused hippie who loves animals. She is also a vegetarian. She is Irena's roommate and they first met in a video store where Lucija works. They all live near each other and have many funny moments, conflicts and bad times. Although being one of the first movies to take humoristic approach towards violent break-up of Yugoslavia, this motion picture is partly based on real events that took place in September of 1991. Few months after Croatia seceded from Yugoslavia, Federal military installations are still present with previously recruited Croatian boys trapped inside. One such installation is a garrison on a small Dalmatian island, commanded by Major Aleksa Milosavljevic. Besieged by local militia, Major Aleksa threatens to blow up ammunition depots with half an island in case of any hostile action. Three generations (from season four onwards, four generations) of the Fazlinovic family all live in a Sarajevo apartment. The oldest of the family is Izet Fazlinovic. Izet has a son Faruk, who in turn has a son Damir. In season four, Damirs son Dzema is born. The shows title refers to the three main characters: Izet is Lud (crazy), Faruk is Zbunjen (confused), and Damir is Normalan (normal). Stipan is a policeman who comes to small Adriatic island off the Croatian coast in order to investigate reported strange phenomena that had frightened the whole population. At first, nobody wants to co-operate with him, but he finally finds that the island is being allegedly haunted by the ghost of Josip Broz Tito, Communist leader of former Yugoslavia. For Luka, the mayor, this is the opportunity to turn entire island into Tito-themed amusement park. Tito's WW2 veterans, on the other hand, don't believe in ghosts; for them, the apparition is actually Tito himself, who had returned in order to lead them into a new revolution which would restore Communism.
