A man suffering from insomnia gets introduced to pills that allow him to cultivate and experience lucid dreams that could continue with interruptions too. With each real-life character that has caused an impact on him getting a parallel in his dream, the distinction between reality and dream thins out and that consumes him. The movie opens with an ancient Chinese mother and daughter. They seem to spend happy moments with each other with the mother being pregnant. The movie then moves to the present where a happy couple Krish [Siddharth] and Lakshmi [Andrea Jeremiah] make love, bringing in their memories of the times they met and how their love blossomed. They suddenly notice that a new family move into the next house. Krish is a doctor who uses electrodes inserted into the brain to bring the sensation to numb fingers. He is close to another doctor, Dr Prasad, who is a psychiatrist.

Prem Kumar (Vijay Sethupathi) is all set to get married to his lover Dhanalakshmi (Gayathri). A day before his wedding, Prem decides to try his hand at playing cricket with his friends - Bagavathi (Bagavathi Perumal), Balaji (Rajkumar) and Saras (Vigneswaran). The game gets little serious and Prem in a bid to catch a ball falls down only to get injured in his head. He quickly gets back on his toes as the injury is no serious.
