Successful Evi loves her busy life in Rotterdam. She lives in a to-die-for apartment with her boyfriend Len and works very hard as an engineer. She is called in to see her boss: she is being relocated. She can't wait to have her dream come true. But then, to her complete dismay, she hears that she is being relocated not to Rio de Janeiro, but to--Terneuzen, a small town in the south of the Netherlands.

Sophie finally seems to have her life back on track. Shes happy, her restaurant is booming and her kids are ready to leave the nest. As usual, Sophie tries to keep way too many balls in the air at the same time. Then she gets some bad news at the same time her daughter Sacha comes home from abroad to introduce her fiancée. Sophie gratefully embraces her daughters upcoming wedding as an excuse to bury her head in the sand. Soof must learn to accept help from her loved ones and that shes worthy of their concern.

Her restaurant is not inspiring anymore, the kids are preoccupied, and Kasper hits on a very young girl. Soof pulls herself together and meets the handsome chief cook and 'foodie' Bauke. He appears to be a real magician in the kitchen and sees Soof for who she really is. But is he really the solution to Soof's marital problems?
